IABA provides individuals with the opportunity for membership in one of
the pre-eminent Iranian American organizations in the United States. By
joining the IABA, individuals will be joining a professional
association uniquely organized to promote the social, economic,
professional, and educational advancement of The Iranian American
community and the community at large. In addition, IABA provides tangible benefits to practicing attorneys as well as law students including: Networking Opportunities
- Members have access to the IABA member directory and opportunities to
network with other attorneys at IABA meetings, events and gatherings. Lectures / Events
- IABA members and distinguished guests periodically speak on legal
topics of particular interest to Iranian American attorneys,
businesspersons and the broader Iranian American community. Members
receive complementary or reduced admission to IABA lecture series or
other charitable events. IABA Publications
- Members receive all IABA publications and newsletters at no charge.
Our publications provide members with up to date information on the
latest legal developments as it effects Iranian Americans in the United
States. IABA Scholarship
- Student members enrolled in law school on a full time basis are
eligible to apply for our scholarship. Applications are usually
solicited in the summer and the award issue in late August or early
September. Leadership Opportunities
- Members may opt to run for board membership, officer positions and
committee memberships. This gives each member the opportunity to affect
the implementation of the IABA mission and goals, help with identifying
and deploying new initiatives, and directly contribute to promoting the
welfare of the Iranian American community. Mentoring Program
- The IABA Mentoring Program for law students and young attorneys is
designed to enhance the professional development of our members. IABA Pro Bono
- Through the IABA Pro Bono referral program, members have the
opportunity to provide advice to and collaborate in representing
